Lily Maisky was born in Paris, which she left for Brussels shortly afterwards. She began playing the piano at the age of 4 with Lyl Tiempo, Hagit Kerbel, Ilana Davids and Alan Weiss. Lily Maisky was a student at the Purcell School from 2001 to 2005, where she also studied jazz piano. She has also received instruction from renowned masters and artists such as Martha Argerich, Dmitri Bashkirov, Joseph Kalichstein, Pavel Gililov, Vitali Margulis, Oleg Maisenberg and Marielle Labèque. In addition to her solo performances and performances with international orchestras, she is a great lover of chamber music and has been performing regularly in a duo with her father Mischa Maisky for several years, as well as being a member of the Maisky Trio, which also includes her brother Sascha.
