Romano Pucci, flute
Having graduated with the highest honours from the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in Rome, Romano Pucci won first prize at the International Competition organised by the Swiss Italian Radio Orchestra in 1980. Described as an ‘exemplary performer’ by the composer Goffredo Petrassi, he served for many years as principal flute with the Milan Philharmonic Orchestra and the Teatro alla Scala.
Throughout his career, he has performed in the world’s most prestigious theatres and concert halls, alongside internationally renowned conductors. He is also actively involved in teaching and has, notably, taught at the Accademia della Scala in Milan.
Fabio Spruzzola, guitar
Having graduated with the highest honours from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Milan, Fabio Spruzzola went on to study under Oscar Ghiglia and Ruggero Chiesa and has won numerous prizes at music performance competitions.
He has collaborated with the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, La Scala and prestigious ensembles such as the Archi della Scala. For many years, he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician and has taught at several Italian conservatoires. He has also produced numerous transcriptions and arrangements for the Classica Trio’s repertoire.
Ivano Brambilla, clarinet et mandolin
Clarinettist and mandolinist, Ivano Brambilla leads a busy career as a soloist and chamber musician, which has taken him to numerous international venues, from Strasbourg to the United States, via Beijing and Ostend.
Notably, he has recorded the complete works by Mozart for basset horn and clarinet in collaboration with Antony Pay. Also a qualified mandolinist, he performs the instrument’s original repertoire with great virtuosity, notably Vivaldi’s concertos.
