
Valentina Rebaudo
Italian-born clarinettist Valentina Rebaudo studied at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nice, the Musikhochschule de Freiburg Im Breisgau and the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne. An eclectic artist who is very active in chamber music, she is professor and head of the theory department at the Lausanne Conservatoire. A pioneer in the promotion of music as a form of non-violent resistance, she has led educational projects in Palestinian refugee camps and in Latin America. Keenly aware of the social dimension of music, she is a member of Concerts du Coeur, a Swiss association awarded the Prix Culturel 2023, which aims to bring music into the daily lives of the elderly, hospitalised, incarcerated or disadvantaged, in an attempt to break down their isolation through quality concerts. Valentina is the artistic director of the Festival du Bois qui Chante in Château-d’Oex.
Sébastien Gex
Born in Vevey, Sébastien Gex graduated from the Conservatoire de Lausanne in 1999, before going on to perfect his skills in Geneva. A former member of the Orchestre Symphonique Suisse des Jeunes, he plays regularly with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, which has taken him on several tours of France, Italy, Germany, Romania, Japan and the Sultanate of Oman. Sébastien has worked with many renowned conductors and soloists: He has performed at major festivals such as the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, SettembreMusica in Turin, the Avanches Opera Festival, the Paléo Festival in Nyon, the Festival de la Cité in Lausanne… Since 2014 Sébastien has collaborated with the Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain (NEC) and the Ensemble Contrechamps in Geneva. A member of the Orchestre Sinfonietta de Lausanne as bass clarinet since 1994, Sébastien also teaches clarinet at the Ecole de Musique de Rolle and the surrounding area.
