Sergey Malov stands out for his rare versatility and mastery of several instruments, ranging from the modern and Baroque violin to the viola, as well as the violoncello da spalla (shoulder cello). His curiosity and mastery of these instruments allow him to explore repertoires with remarkable freedom and depth. He is an extraordinary musician—bold and technically flawless. Alongside him, Irina Zahharenkova also impresses with the breadth of her musical world. A distinguished Estonian pianist, harpsichordist, and fortepianist, she is recognized as one of the most versatile and virtuosic keyboard performers of her generation. Critics unanimously praise her refusal to succumb to excessive Romantic expressiveness; her training endows her with a clarity of articulation and a transparency of polyphonic voices that are considered exceptional.
