This unique event, a gateway to classical music for all, is enjoyed by young and old alike, thanks to the mastery of the musicians of the Sinfonia Valais-Wallis Orchestra conducted by Laurent Zufferey, the enthusiasm of comedian Eric Constantin and the animated illustrations of Grégoire Pont.
Inspired by Russian folk tales, conceived and set to music by Sergei Prokofiev, Peter and the Wolf tells the story of Peter, a boy who, despite his grandfather’s warnings, captures a wolf and saves his animal friends. Musical themes are associated with each character, a joyful tune for Peter, a menacing melody for the wolf… allowing young audiences to differentiate between the instruments. In addition to being a landmark in the history of children’s music, this universal work continues to be popular with children and adults alike!
Bring something that makes noise: The musicians have a surprise in store for you, and all the children can join in. All you need to do is bring a toy that makes noise when you shake it.
