Cedric Bonvin (1955*) was born into a family of hoteliers in Crans-Montana. After a childhood in Valais, he continued his secondary education in Geneva. Piano training at the conservatory followed by jazz studies completed his musical education. In 1981, after training at the Lausanne Hotel School, he left Switzerland for Canada, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia, working for international hotel chains. In Canada, he began his career with Hilton, then moved to Four Seasons. In Bangkok, he took over the management of the Royal Orchid Sheraton & Towers. In Indonesia, he served as general manager for Sheraton Luxury Collection and opened and expanded two hotels.
Returning to Switzerland in 2000, he took over the management of the Richemond Hotel in Geneva, then led the management company during the acquisition of several historic Swiss hotels until the dissolution of the group in 2010. He then accepted other management and hotel development roles that took him back to Thailand until 2020. Returning to Crans-Montana, he has been a member of the Crans-Montana Classics committee since 2023.
After working on three continents, being passionate about his hotelier profession, and discovering new cultures, Cedric Bonvin looks forward to putting his experience at the service of music.
