The Elmire Quartet, familiar with the great repertoire (Les Echos), finds its identity by immersing itself in this heritage, and we can measure the musicians’ perfect harmony in the embodiment of this singular music (Diapason).
Founded in 2017, the Elmire Quartet was awarded second prize at the prestigious Geneva Competition and the Etrillard Foundation’s special prize for the most outstanding artistic project. It also won the Carl Nielsen International Competition in Copenhagen.
The Elmire Quartet has already performed in major venues such as the Paris Philharmonie, Geneva’s Victoria Hall, the Luxemburg Philharmonie and the Grange au Lac in Evian. The year 2024 will be marked by his debut on the stage of the Alt Oper in Frankfurt and by the celebration of thirty years of La Folle Journée in Nantes.
With the advice of the Modigliani, Ysaÿe, Belcea and Ébène quartets, the Elmire Quartet is artist-in-residence at the Singer-Polignac Foundation, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, ProQuartet grand resident, Spedidam generation artist and Banque Populaire Foundation prize-winner.
