Over the past 13 years, the New Year’s Gala Concert on 1st January has become an institution on the Haut-Plateau and in the Valais. Just like the Vienna New Year’s Concert, Crans-Montana celebrates the New Year with panache and jubilation, and the Cameristi della Scala are always on hand to accompany renowned soloists.
Following Alexandre Kantorow (2023), Gautier Capuçon (2024) and, last year, pianist Nikolay Khozyainov and soprano Juliana Grigoryan, Crans-Montana Classics is delighted to welcome legendary cellist Mischa Maisky with his family trio, his daughter Lily on piano and his son Sascha on violin. A trio of remarkable emotional depth. Also on stage will be violinist Yossif Ivanov and conductor Rotem Nir.
This is sure to be one of the great New Year’s Gala concerts. A prestigious concert, beautiful and sensitive, and festive too.
